This conference is in honor of Francisco Balibrea Gallego on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Balibrea is one of the founders of the school of Dynamical Systems in Spain. He has made numerous contributions to theory of discrete dynamical systems, chaos theory, difference equations and their applications to problems arising in sciences. In previous 20 years Francisco Balibrea Gallego was an advisor of numerous Phd theses and his former students continue this path of research at many research centers in Spain. He is also the founder and the leader of a large research group working on the theory of dynamical systems at Universidad de Murcia and neighboring Universities in the region of Murcia (see

The conference will be aimed at topological dynamics, low dimensional dynamics and dynamical systems arising from difference equations, but other parts of dynamical systems theory, ergodic theory or theory of difference equations are not excluded. The conference continues the tradition of Czech-Slovak Workshop on Discrete Dynamical Systems celebrated every year in Czech Republic or Slovakia. This is 14th conference in the series of these meetings.

The conference will take place at the Sol Galúa Hotel located in La Manga del Mar Menor, Spain. Arrival day is 19 Sep and the departure day is 25 Sep. The first talk will be given in the morning of 20 Sep and the last one on 24 Sep (probably before the lunch).

Journal of Difference Equations and Applications will dedicate a special issue to publish selected papers presented by the participants of the conference. The papers will be refereed following the high standards of the journal. In particular, attendance at the conference does not guarantee inclusion in the special issue.

From 1st to 5th October ‘I-MATH Interaction between Czeck, Slovak and Spanish young researchers in Discrete Dynamical Systems’ at the same location is planned (referencia i-MATH: SARE-C6-0391). The activity is supported by I-Math Cosolider Mathematica.
